Femoral Acetabula Impingement

The disturbing symptoms of Femoral Acetabula Impingement are caused by premature osteoarthritis of the hip joint. The pathophysiology of this condition revolves around a disparity in the size or articulation of the hip bone (pelvic cavity) and the ball of femur (the thigh bone. Due to inefficient alignment, a force of friction is produced, between the hip bone and femur that leads to pain, stiffness and other signs of inflammation. It is characterized by:

Trochanteric Bursitis

The lateral bony point of the hip is known as trochanter. Due to sensitive positioning and critical importance of hip joint, trochanter is supported by bursae(the fluid filled sacthat act as shock absorber to prevent direct injury to the greater trochanter of hip joint).
